Cheltenham Lido Opening Day 2026 and Season Tickets

Cheltenham Lido Splashtime

Cheltenham Lido kicks off its 2026 season with a 2p Opening Day celebration and the return of its popular money saving season tickets

The wait is over as Cheltenham Lido reopens on Saturday 28 March 2026 with its much loved Opening Day tradition. For one day only, entry is just 2p, a nod to the original admission price when the pool first opened.

Visitors can be there for the first splash of the year, whether that means an early morning swim, a cold water dip, or simply soaking up the atmosphere from poolside. Layers are recommended, friends are welcome, and the occasion always draws a lively crowd.

Set within Sandford Parks, the iconic outdoor pool remains one of the most popular things to do in Cheltenham, attracting swimmers, families and outdoor enthusiasts throughout the spring and summer months. Full details can be found via the official Cheltenham Lido website.

2026 Season Tickets

Alongside Opening Day celebrations, the 2026 season ticket offers significant value for regular visitors. Valid from 28 March to 9 October 2026, membership includes unlimited visits, priority entry even on busy days, discounted fitness classes, four hours free parking while using the Lido, 10% off hot drinks at the cafe, access to members only events, partner discounts and seasonal sauna access from March to May and September to October.

An Early Bird discount of 10% is currently available for a limited time, giving swimmers the opportunity to secure savings before the main season begins.

Whether visiting for a refreshing swim, family fun or a slice of local history, Opening Day marks the official start of outdoor swimming in Cheltenham.
