Steam Along to Sudeley! Fantastic offer from two top Gloucestershire visitor attractions!

Steam Along to Sudeley! Fantastic offer from two top Gloucestershire visitor attractions!

Two of Gloucestershire’s top attractions have joined together to give families a fantastic opportunity for a very unique experience this August bank holiday.

The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway and Sudeley Castle are offering a limited number of families the chance to ride the steam train between Cheltenham and Toddington and then to visit magnificent Sudeley Castle – and all with a whopping £20 discount on a family ticket!

The very special joint ticket, which will be valid for any days over the August Bank Holiday weekend  (29th – 31st August) will allow a family of 2 adults and up to 3 children to either visit both attractions on one day or to visit each of the attractions on separate days. The joint ticket will cost just £35 – that’s a credit crunching saving of £20 per family on the usual ticket prices.

The Steam Railway will be operating a regular service between Cheltenham, Winchcombe and Toddington and you can hop on or off at any of the 3 stations along the route.  Why not board the train at Toddington for the hour and a half return journey to Cheltenham in the morning and then head up to Sudeley Castle for the afternoon?  Or leave the car at Winchcombe, ride the rails to Cheltenham and then hop back off at Winchcombe before heading up to Sudeley for afternoon tea?  Alternatively you can spend the day at Sudeley and visit the Steam Railway on another day – the choice is yours.

Sudeley has a fabulous play area for the kids with a wooden fort, slide and zip wire.  The magnificent award-winning gardens will be bursting with colour and the fascinating exhibitions give an intriguing glimpse into life at this historic heritage site.

Tickets are on a strictly first come first served  basis, to book yours either call Sudeley’s Visitor Centre on 01242 604244 or visit either Sudeley or the GWSR ticket offices at Toddington, Winchcombe or Cheltenham on the day.  But hurry – numbers are limited!
