The £3 million restoration of the Everyman Theatre almost complete
Great news for theatregoers as the much awaited £3 million restoration of the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham is on schedule for completion in September.
Comedy legend Ken Dodd is first to tread the boards on 23 September (already sold out) with Al Murray the following night. The comedy is then replaced with a week long run of The Madness of George III from 26 September until 1 October.
Make sure you go along to the 120th Birthday Celebrations on 2 October. There are 2 performances that day and a host of Victorian events happening outside the theatre. Regent Street will be closed during the afternoon and filled with stilt walkers, Morris dancers, music, theatre and lots of stalls and sideshows.
Don't forget the Everyman's award-winning pantomimes - this year Jack and the Beanstalk will surely be a giant of a show - tickets are already on sale. So book early to get the dates and of course the seats you wish.
