Two Romantic Ballets at Cheltenham Everyman Theatre
SWAN LAKE & SLEEPING BEAUTY
The Russian State Ballet and Opera House bring two of Tchaikovsky’s best loved ballets to the Everyman.
Swan Lake is a compelling legend of tragic romance. It tells the story of Odette, a princess turned into a swan by an evil curse and features choreography that allows the very best dancers to show just how impressive they can be! One of the greatest classical ballets of all time, you will be stunned by this amazing version, full of colourful staging and special effects.
Sleeping Beauty is one of the most magical of all fairy tales. Princess Aurora is at the centre of a grand christening celebration where she is granted gifts from her fairy godmothers – the gifts of honesty, beauty, prosperity, song and generosity. The ceremony is interrupted by the unwanted wicked fairy Carabosse who puts a curse on the young princess; she will prick her finger and die on her sixteenth birthday...
