A one woman show heading to The Everyman

One-woman Little Women show, born in Cheltenham, returns to Everyman Theatre stage following national tour
A Gloucestershire-based professional theatre company returns to the Everyman Theatre this month with their unique adaptation of the classic Louise May Alcott story, Little Women, following a UK tour.
The enchanting production, presented by Jenny Wren Productions, debuted at the Everyman Theatre in June 2021, just a few weeks after strict lockdown restrictions which had previously prohibited the theatre from opening, were lifted. The Gloucestershire-born show has been announced to return to the theatre on Saturday 29th April, following an 18-venue national tour from February – April 2023.
What makes this production especially unique is that all four sisters, their family and their friends are played by just one actress, Hannah Churchill, accompanied by actor/musician, Reece Webster, who provides live music throughout the show.
Little Women tells the story of Jo March, who is holed up in the attic of her Massachusetts home, struggling with writer’s block after the end of the American Civil War. However, with the help of an old friend, she unlocks a lifetime of memories, and the audience is taken on a journey packed with adventure, drama, love and loss.
Jenny Wren Productions have received praise for their previous touring shows including The Hound of the Baskervilles, Emma, and Burke and Hare. The production of Little Women has thus far received rave reviews, with Cotswold Life calling the show ‘Brilliant’ ‘Utterly stunning’ and ‘Mesmerising’.
Jenny Wicks, director of Jenny Wren Productions said: ‘We’re thrilled to be bringing Little Women back to the Everyman Theatre, after sharing this unique and exciting show with audiences across the country in our first ever national tour. Hannah Churchill is an incredibly talented actress and will bring the March Sisters and their family and friends to life in a way that audiences have never seen before”.
Tickets for Little Women at the Everyman Theatre Cheltenham are priced just £19 (£17 concession) and are available - see link below.
Don’t miss out on your chance to see this highly original and unforgettable production.
