Lambing and Easter news from Cotswold Farm Park
Lambing it up! Egg-citing list of activities, including UK’s largest lambing event, unveiled this Easter at Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park
Nothing says quintessential Cotswold springtime quite like the arrival of newborn farm animals, something that Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park has big plans to celebrate from Saturday 1st – Sunday 16th April as the Easter Holidays kick off.
It can be difficult to keep every member of the family entertained over School Holidays, but the popular attraction has announced a jam-packed schedule of Easter activities and crafts to help visitors embrace the magic of springtime and leave them hopping with excitement.
The highlight of the springtime schedule is set to be the Farm Park’s live lambing and kidding experience the biggest of its kind in the UK, in which families will be able to get up close with the newest members of the attraction’s flock, potentially even seeing a glimpse of the young animals as they are born. This year over 800 new arrivals are expected – more than any other farm attraction in the UK.
Experts from the farm will be on-hand to share their knowledge with daily lambing talks to help visitors learn all about the new arrivals, making this a must-see experience for all animal-lovers.
Other attractions on offer for the Easter Holidays include the Farm Park’s new Easter Trail, packed with Easter trivia and facts to keep little minds busy. Children will also be able to embrace the spring colours as they choose from a selection of seasonal face paint designs to wear proudly. Of course, there will be some chocolate treats for visitors to enjoy during the activities.
All of the egg-stra special seasonal activities will be included in the general admission price to the Farm Park, which also includes access to the farm animals, lambing event, outdoor & indoor play and much more.
Creative souls will also be excited to hear that Cotswold Farm Park will be teaming up with crafting experts Larkswold, to offer a selection of egg-cellent art workshops, allowing visitors of all ages the opportunity to decoupage an egg or block-print a canvas bag. These activities have limited capacity and can be pre-booked online, or booked on-site on the day for just £8.95 each.
“Spring is one of the most exciting times at the Farm Park as we welcome lots of new arrivals, and we can’t wait to share this with our visitors. We’re thrilled to announce or unique offering of Easter Holiday activities, from the country’s biggest lambing event to our special springtime craft activities. We are also launching a photo competition in which entrants can share their visit to Cotswold Farm Park on social media for their chance to win free membership for one child.” said Charlie Sibbons, Visitor Experience Supervisor.
In addition to all of the special seasonal events and crafts, visitors will also be able to explore, play, eat, feed and learn across the Cotswold Farm Park’s main attractions and activities as usual, including their collection of over 50 rare and native breeds of British farm animals, play areas, restaurant and gift shop, set in the beautiful countryside surrounds of the The Cotswolds, over 1000ft above sea level.
Cotswold Farm Park’s schedule of Easter activities take place from Saturday 1st until Sunday 16th April, from 09:30am – 5.00pm daily. Tickets can be pre-booked here.
Larkswold craft activities have a limited capacity and therefore pre-booking is recommended to avoid disappointment. Details about the sessions will be released via the Farm Park’s newsletter here.
