Matilda the Musical hits top theatre in Gloucestershire

This summer Tewkesbury will be filled with the smell of rebellion when Roses Young Creatives present Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical JR. at The Roses Theatre on Saturday 8th July 2023 at 2pm and 7pm.
The musical is based on the beloved book “Matilda” by Roald Dahl and adapted from the award-winning full-length musical. This show tells the story of an extraordinary girl who, armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind, dares to take a stand and change her own destiny.
Roses Young Creatives is a theatre and film-making club for 5 – 25 year olds. It’s weekly sessions use games, improvisation, devising, designing and training to develop creative skills in theatre and film, and hosts inspiring one-off workshops from visiting industry professionals. Its mission is to develop confidence and explore issues relevant to young people in a safe environment whilst forming great friendships with their peers!

“Our approach is to offer various skills and opportunities to our young creatives in addition to drama, dance and singing. To create well rounded performers and creatives, we will aim to respond to the needs of a group or individual by offering other opportunities surrounding writing, producing, directing… and more!”
