Take a look at the fantastic forthcoming theatre highlights in Gloucestershire as the Everyman Theatre unveils its new season of world-class entertainment.

The Everyman Theatre, Gloucestershire’s premiere entertainment venue, has announced an eclectic new programme and, once again, it’s jam-packed full of brand-new performances, exciting national tours and family fun as well as top notch dramas and musicals straight from Broadway and the West End.

Here are the top shows you won’t want to miss, starting with lots of fun for the whole family:

Splash Test Dummies
(18-19 July)

The Splash Test Dummies are off on an exciting adventure of oceanic proportions! With a brilliant array of catch-your-breath stunt work, dazzling acrobatics, dexterous juggling and side-splitting, slapstick comedy for the whole family.

In the Night Garden Live (22 July)
You’ll see Makka Pakka, Igglepiggle and all your favourite characters beautifully brought to life with full-size costumes, magical puppets and enchanting music. Your little ones will be amazed when they see a very special visit from the amazing flying Pinky Ponk.

Dragons and Mythical Beasts (3- 5 August)
Calling all brave heroes! Enter into a magical world of myths and legends in this fantastical new interactive show for all the family.

Sarah & Duck’s Big Top Birthday (7 August)
In 2023 we mark the 10th Anniversary of Sarah and Duck, but it is also someone else’s special day. Join Sarah and her best friend Duck as they plan the ultimate circus soiree to help Scarf Lady celebrate her birthday. Tickets from £16
 
The Tiger Who Came To Tea (10 – 12 August)

Direct from the West End, the Olivier Award nominated smash hit show, returns on tour. Join the tea-guzzling tiger in this delightful family show; packed with oodles of magic, sing-a-long songs and clumsy chaos.
 
The Highland Joker Presents The Bubble Show (29 August)
The Bubble Show is a unique blend of magic, storytelling, science and bubble art! Enjoy bouncy bubbles, bubbles inside bubbles, smoke bubbles, square bubbles, giant bubbles, and even fire bubbles!
 
Morgan & West’s Massive Magic Show For Kids (30 August)
Roll up, roll up! Morgan & West are back with a massive magic show for kids (and their childish grown-ups)!

Winnie The Pooh (31 August – 2 September)
The iconic characters from Disney’s ‘Winnie the Pooh’ will be brought to life on stage with stunning puppetry and beautiful music in this wonderful, family-friendly production. 
 
Madagascar The Musical (31 October to 4 November)
Filled with outlandish characters, adventure galore and an upbeat score, you’ll have no choice but to Move It, Move It!

Heathers The Musical (6 – 10 June)
This stage adaptation of the eponymous 1988 film follows the turbulent story of a high school student dreaming of popularity, only to find it’s not all as it seems being part of the cool crowd.

Greatest Days – The Official Take That Musical (24 - 29 July)
Relight Your Fire with this sensational new production of Take That’s smash hit musical Greatest Days.

The Bodyguard: The Musical (21 - 26 August)
Former Secret Service agent turned bodyguard, Frank Farmer, is hired to protect superstar Rachel Marron played by Zoe Birkett, from an unknown stalker. Each expects to be in charge – what they don't expect is to fall in love.

The Full Monty (14 – 23 September)
Opening in Cheltenham prior to a national tour!
There are no heroes in Simon Beaufoy’s heartfelt play, just a group of lads trying to regain their dignity and pride.
 
Calendar Girls – The Musical (26- 30 September)
A group of ordinary women in a small Yorkshire Women's Institute are prompted to do an extraordinary thing and set about creating a nude calendar to raise money for charity.
 
Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None (3 – 7 October)
“None of us will ever leave this island”. Directed by Lucy Bailey this brand-new production of the bestselling crime novel of all time will keep you on the edge of your seat...genuinely terrifying.

Sister Act (16 – 24 October)
Disco diva Deloris’ life takes a surprising turn when she witnesses a murder. Placed under protective custody she is hidden in the one place she shouldn’t be found – a convent!
 
Twelve Angry Men (6-11 November)
Twelve jurors, all men, convene in the claustrophobic jury room of a New York court to decide. But having nearly reached a unanimous verdict of guilty, a single dissenting voice instigates an insightful, emotionally charged examination of the facts. What appears to be an open and shut case soon becomes a dilemma for the twelve.
 
Mother Goose (24 November – 7 January)
Tweedy is back taking on his biggest challenge ever... playing Mother Goose!
Get ready for a fun-filled family adventure with the Everyman Theatre’s classic tale of Mother Goose!
