This summer take a trip to OKLAHOMA! courtesy of Promenade Productions.
This well known amateur group will be staging the first of what became one of the classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musicals at The Bacon Theatre Cheltenham from Wednesday 10th to Saturday 13th July at 7.30pm with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.
The show features such ‘standards’ as ‘Oh! What a Beautiful Mornin’,’ The Surrey with the Fringe on Top’, ‘People will say we’re in love’ and the title song ‘Oklahoma’
With Kate Aston-Williams as Laurey and Ben Perkins as Curly the production team is headed by husband and wife team John Pannett and Heather Newman with the orchestra once again under the direction of David Manifold.
Ticket prices remain the same as for last year’s production of The Sound of Music starting at just £8.00 to £14.00 – call Showcase now on 01242 224144 to book seats.
Set against the backdrop of ranching in Oklahoma territory in the early years of the 20th century, this musical is full of fun, romance and great songs.
