Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park Changing Places Toilet

12 is the perfect number for Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park, as it celebrates the opening of its NEW Changing Places Toilet facility

The Cotswolds leading outdoor visitor attraction, Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park has announced that it is joining eleven other prestigious local sites, by launching the areas 12th fully accessible Changing Places Toilet.

The new facility, handily located at the admissions area and adjacent to the main entrance toilet block, is now fully open to visitors to the Farm Park. The award winning venue prides itself on constantly evolving its spaces both indoor and out, always striving to provide an inclusive experience for all visitors.

This essential space has been created with grant funding provided by the Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities in association with Muscular Dystrophy UK and with the support of Cotswolds District Council.

The new Changing Places Toilet area gives visitors to the Farm Park, use of a larger accessible toilet for severely disabled people, as well as an adjustable changing bench, hoist and washbasin.

Farmer and TV Presenter, Adam Henson, said,
“We aim to give every visitor the very best experience on a day out at Cotswold Farm Park and with around 250,000 people in the UK living with Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Spina Bifada, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and other conditions (including many hidden disabilities) which make using standard toilets, and even accessible toilets, impossible, we are so pleased to be able to open a purpose built area for visitors to be able to use safely and with dignity.”

The specialist amenity is a collaboration of local partners with Cotswold District Council supporting the initiative and Andoversford based Astor Bannerman, supplying the specialist equipment, including a wall-mounted, height adjustable changing table, ceiling hoist, height adjustable washbasin, toilet and accessories. They have 30 years’ experience of designing and installing equipment for disabled people and their families and all the equipment at Cotswold Farm Park is manufactured at their factory near Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

Mark Colebrook, Astor Bannerman’s Managing Director, said;
“As the leading UK manufacturer of Changing Places equipment, we are proud to have installed this new Changing Places toilet, particularly as Cotswold Farm Park is such a prestigious tourist attraction and is located very close to our Gloucestershire factory. It includes the latest innovative equipment, designed specifically for Changing Places Toilets.”
