The Cheltenham Trust Announces New Partnership with Clavell & Hind

The Cheltenham Trust has announced a new partnership with Clavell & Hind, a Gloucestershire-based brewery, which will see the company’s beers served across a number of Trust venues.

Founded in 2017 and named after 17th-century figures John Clavell and Captain James Hind, the brewery produces traditional English-style ales from a purpose-built site located approximately four miles from Cheltenham Town Hall.

Clavell & Hind operates a local distribution model, with all beers produced and supplied within a 60-mile radius. Sustainability measures include reusing kegs, repurposing spent grain as livestock feed, working with local suppliers, and managing water usage within the brewing process.

The Cheltenham Trust manages a range of cultural, leisure, and heritage venues across the town and has confirmed that Clavell & Hind beers will now be available at several locations, including The Garden Bar and the Pillar Room at Cheltenham Town Hall.

Beers available across the venues include Black Bess Stout, Coachman Golden Ale, Blunderbuss Pale Ale, Liberty IPA, Outlaw Pilsner, and Bad Apple Cider.

“This partnership allows us to work closely with a local producer while offering high-quality, locally crafted products across our venues.”
- Michael Barlow, Head of Food and Beverage, The Cheltenham Trust

The partnership will also include meet-the-brewery events and the launch of a premium lager exclusive to The Garden Bar and Clavell & Hind’s taproom.

The Cheltenham Trust stated that the partnership supports its aim of working with local suppliers while contributing to the local economy and community.
