Friends! The Musical Parody Brings Comedy to The Barn Theatre, Cirencester
The Barn Theatre in Cirencester is set to welcome the hit production Friends! The Musical Parody as part of its UK tour this summer. Running from Monday 14 July to Saturday 23 August, this hilarious homage to the beloved TV sitcom promises fans a night of musical fun and nostalgic laughter.
Directed by Michael Gyngell, the show features book and lyrics by Bob and Tobly McSmith with music by Assaf Gleizner. The cast includes Enzo Benvenuti as ‘Ross’, Alicia Belgarde as ‘Monica’, Daniel Parkinson as ‘Chandler’, Eva Hope as ‘Rachel’, Ronnie Burden as ‘Joey’, and Amelia Atherton as ‘Phoebe’. Edward Leigh joins as Gunther, Tom Selleck, and Paolo.
The ensemble is completed by Lottie Lester and Meg Darcy (female ensemble covers) and Jared Thompson and Harry Mallaghan (male ensemble covers). The show’s creative team features Andrew Exeter (set and lighting design), Chris Whybrow (sound), Jennie Quirk (costumes), Craig Forrest-Thomas (wigs and make-up), Mark Crossland (music supervisor), and Charles Olins (music arrangements).
Friends! The Musical Parody is a playful, song-filled journey through classic moments from the iconic series. It joins a strong 2025 season for the Barn Theatre, following acclaimed productions such as Educating Rita, In the Mouth of the Wolf, and Room 13. Later this year, audiences can also look forward to Haywire, The Last Five Years, and A Christmas Carol.
