Summer Holiday Kids' Activities at Nature in Art – Family Fun in Gloucestershire

Gloucester Summer Holidays at Nature in Art

Creative Summer Holiday Fun for Kids at Nature in Art, Wallsworth Hall

This summer, Nature in Art near Gloucester is bursting with creativity, offering children the chance to enjoy a series of hands-on art and craft workshops, perfect for family days out in Gloucestershire. Set in the dedicated Education Centre and beautiful garden space, these school holiday activities run from late July through to the end of August and are ideal for children aged 3 and over. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.

Morning sessions run from 10am to 11.30am and afternoon sessions from 1pm to 2.30pm. Prices are £6 per child on Mondays when the museum and café are closed (but the garden and Education Centre remain open), and £8 per child Tuesday to Friday, which includes the art activity plus museum admission for one child and one adult. Yoga for Kids is held on Tuesdays and can be added for £5 per child.

Each session has a fun and creative theme. From 22 July to 5 August, children can enjoy Weaving Bookmarks, Tissue Paper Bowls, Cork Art, and William Morris Stamps. Later sessions include Yoga and Snake Art, Collage Rangolis, Tetra Pak Printing (recommended for ages 6+), Free-for-All Friday with four mystery art tables, Bird Feeders on 4 August, and Nature Boats on 5 August.

Yoga for Kids takes place outdoors in the garden (weather permitting) and is followed by themed art activities. It runs on 29 July, 5 August, 19 August and 26 August. For budding young artists aged 11 and up, the Young Artist Hub offers specialist workshops including Felting on 24 July, Printing on 31 July, Batik on 7 August, Coil Pots on 14 August, Wire Sculptures on 21 August, and Jellyfish Art on 28 August.

All materials are provided, and children are advised to wear old clothes or an apron, and to bring a box to take their masterpieces home. Advance booking is essential as places are limited and booking closes the day before each activity. For help, contact education@natureinart.org.uk or call the museum office.
