Explore Batsford Arboretum This Summer – Family Adventures and Things to Do in Gloucestershire
This summer, enjoy The Big Batsford Hedgehog Hunt – a perfect way to combine outdoor adventure with family fun in the beautiful surroundings of Batsford Arboretum, near Moreton-in-Marsh. Running daily from 12 July to 31 August 2025, families can explore 60 acres of rare and exotic trees, bamboos and summer colour while on the lookout for the hidden hedgehogs scattered throughout the arboretum.
Pick up a map from the entrance, mark the hedgehog locations as you go, and return to claim a prize! The hunt costs just £3 per participating child (plus general admission) and promises an engaging way to make the most of the Summer Holidays in the Cotswolds.
A visit to Batsford is more than just a trail – it is a whole day out in Gloucestershire. Wander through shaded canopies, enjoy refreshments at The Garden Terrace Café, and browse the stunning Batsford Garden Centre and Gift Shop – all housed within the free-to-enter Visitor Centre.
Dogs on short leads are welcome too, making this a real family-friendly day out. Whether you're searching for things to do in the Cotswolds, planning a summer of family days out in Gloucestershire, or looking to create some unforgettable summer memories, Batsford Arboretum has it all.
