Two New Independent Food Businesses to Open at Gloucester Food Dock

Two new independent food businesses are set to open at Gloucester Food Dock, adding to the growing mix of food and drink operators based at the site.

The Food Dock will welcome Mazala Dosa and Wagyu & Feather, with both businesses joining the food and drink neighbourhood in early 2026.

Mazala Dosa will specialise in South Indian street food, serving dishes such as dosa, vada, uttapam and kothu. The restaurant will combine South Indian design features with the Food Dock’s existing Victorian architecture, including exposed brickwork and dockside views.

The venue will also introduce autonomous service robots to deliver food to tables, making it one of the first restaurants in Gloucestershire to use this technology.

“Opening Mazala Dosa at the Food Dock marks an exciting first step for us. Dosa sits at the heart of South Indian street food, and we’re proud to be introducing service robots as part of our team,”
- Omer Rahim, Co-Founder, Mazala Dosa

Also joining the Food Dock is Wagyu & Feather, a street food concept founded by Paul and Karen Sheeran. The business will operate from a permanent unit on the Food Dock Deck and will also provide food for customers at Hop Kettle Brewery.

The menu will focus on British Wagyu beef, alongside buttermilk chicken and a daytime deli sandwich offering, with dishes prepared fresh and cooked to order.

“The menu is built around high-quality British Wagyu, supported by buttermilk chicken and a dedicated daytime deli sandwich offer,”
- Paul Sheeran, Co-Founder, Wagyu & Feather

These openings add to the list of independent businesses currently trading at Gloucester Food Dock.

“We are looking forward to welcoming two new independent operators to the Food Dock community,”
- Ken Elliott, Co-Founder, Food Dock
