From spectacular show gardens to expert advice, live music and great food, RHS Badminton Flower Show promises an unforgettable summer day out at the historic Badminton Estate

The brand-new RHS Badminton Flower Show is set to bring one of the UK's best-loved gardening organisations to South Gloucestershire this July, creating a major new summer event for garden lovers, families and day visitors.

Taking place at the historic Badminton Estate, the inaugural show will feature inspiring gardens, floral displays, expert talks, shopping, food, drink and entertainment from the team behind RHS Chelsea and Hampton Court Flower Shows.

For gardening enthusiasts, the show gardens are set to be a major highlight, with designs by respected names from the horticultural world. Visitors can also look forward to The Julia Rausing Garden by Tom Stuart-Smith, which is expected to be the largest garden ever built at an RHS Show.

1. Gorgeous Gardens

Whether you prefer contemporary or traditional design, country gardens or dramatic sculptures, expect inspiration by the spadeful. Set within the sweeping parkland of the Badminton Estate, visitors can explore the Show Gardens, Artisan Gardens, Young Designer Gardens and Pocket Planting.

Garden lovers can expect a diverse collection of designs ranging from traditional country-inspired planting schemes to bold contemporary creations. The gardens will showcase the creativity and craftsmanship of some of the UK's most respected designers, offering ideas and inspiration to take home.

See The Archers' Bridge Farm brought to life by designer Jo Thompson, including an orchard, wildflower meadow, potting bench, wildlife pond and even a cheese-making area. Meanwhile, designer Tom Stuart-Smith will be creating the largest garden ever to be built at an RHS Show with a walk-through including wildflower planting, yew domes and lake views.

You will also get to see the official RHS awards and medals handed out and place your vote in the RHS People's Choice Award.

Step inside the showstopping Floral Marquee, home to over 70 specialist floral nurseries. You will find beautifully curated floral installations across the showground too, including the iconic RHS letters, perfect for selfies, and decorative horse jumps - a nod to the world-famous horse trials hosted at the Estate each May.

Do not miss the Houseplant Terrariums for indoor inspiration, and head to the Perfume Pavilions to be surrounded by scented plants.

Pull up a deck chair and settle in for a series of entertaining talks from some of horticulture's best-loved names. The Main Stage will welcome Arit Anderson, Carol Klein, Adam Frost and Rachel de Thame amongst others, while the In The Grow theatre will feature plant-focused talks and demonstrations from specialist nurseries.

Foodies will be spoilt for choice, whether treating themselves to afternoon tea at The Lakeside Restaurant, relaxing with a Fortnum & Mason picnic and a glass of bubbly or sampling delicious street food championing seasonal British ingredients.

Visitors will also find gardening must-haves to take home - from secateurs to sheds - plus craft, fashion and high-end homeware across the shopping areas. And, of course, there will be plenty of plant shopping options to choose from.

5. Live Music and Entertainment

In the Artisan Studios, local makers will be demonstrating heritage crafts, helping to keep these important skills alive. Then unwind at Live @ the Lake in front of the magnificent Badminton House, where live music and a festival-style atmosphere set the perfect scene for a summer's day.

About the Badminton Estate

The Grade I listed Badminton Estate is set among 52,000 acres of land and features exquisite formal gardens and a deer park. It hosts the Badminton Horse Trials and has been a film and TV location for programmes including Bridgerton, The Gentlemen, Seven Dials and The Other Bennet Sister.
