Royal Well Cheltenham

Royal Well in Cheltenham is a historic Regency area located behind the Municipal Buildings and close to the Promenade. Home to the impressive Royal Crescent, it forms part of the town’s elegant architectural landscape.

A classic example of Georgian architecture, the Royal Crescent is not as large or dominant as the famous Royal Crescent in Bath, but it remains highly impressive in scale and design. Its sweeping curve, uniform façades and balanced proportions reflect Cheltenham’s carefully planned development and enduring sense of refinement.

Today, the area also includes the Royal Well Bus Station, making it both a practical transport hub and a recognisable gateway into the town centre.
