Things are getting busy this May with two bank holidays and the start of a school half term holiday. We have some great events happening throughout Gloucestershire for you.
May Day Bank holiday sees the return of the Tewkesbury Food and Drink Festival near the Abbey, with celebrity TV chef James Martin demonstrating his skills. There’s even a children’s food festival at the Dick Whittington Farm Park on the May Day Bank Holiday. On the subject of food, don’t miss out on locally grown fresh asparagus available from Over Farm and Primrose Vale farm shops – there’s nothing quite like it.
News has spread that two of our favourite events have been postponed until next year and we can confirm that this is true, but hopefully both the Cheese Rolling at Coopers Hill and the Tall Ship Festival in Gloucester Docks will be returning next year. The traditional Woolsack Races at Tetbury continue, as does the Randwick Wap and the Bread and Cheese Dole in the Forest.
May sees the return of the Kemble Vintage Flying Weekend for aviation enthusiasts and makes a great family day out for all ages.
Finally, for the competition. We have some cracking prizes including:
