Calling all eek!splorers: put your courage to the test on an eek!citing interactive trail this half term at WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre.
Families can put their courage to the test as they explore the eek!citing and mysterious world of wetland nature this October half term at WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre, between 22-31 October.
From the feathered and furry to the slimy and scaly, there are some truly weird and wonderful creatures that call wetlands home – and all are ready and waiting to be discovered by visitors as they make their way round the site keeping eyes peeled and ears pricked for a truly exciting eek!sperience.
With spooky interactive activities and scary trails to follow, visitors to Slimbridge Wetland Centre are being dared to put their hands into a box to feel an eel, investigate owl poo, discover the textures of a newt and much more!
There’s also plenty for the whole family to discover this Autumn, whether they’re looking for a fright or not - such as pond dipping, experiencing Slimbridge’s very own free, family friend app – Wetland Heroes, or watching Haha the North American river otter being fed.
WWT’s head of engagement Ruth Thomas explained:
“For a half term experience with a difference, our eek! week event gives families the chance to connect with nature and enjoy a fantastic, fun wildlife learning experience.
“Autumn is such a special time to visit Slimbridge and the interactive eek! week trails and nature-based activities on offer are a brilliant way for children to get outdoors and use all their senses to explore and connect to nature this half term”.
The eek! week interactive trails are included as part of the centre admission price (free for WWT members and under 4’s).
