Have you a photo which shows Gloucestershire at its Best?

  • Would you like to see your photo in 2010's Explore Gloucestershire magazine?
  • ... and WIN £250 of vouchers to spend at Jessops?

If 'YES' then enter 2009's 'Gloucestershire at its Best!' photography competition - sponsored by JESSOPS


The brief:

  • The photograph has to be taken within Gloucestershire.

Whether you have taken a photograph of bluebelles in the Forest of Dean, an early morning misty summer shot of an enchanted Cotswold valley or sleepy quintessential village, wildlife on the River Severn or Avon, the medieval festival in Tewkesbury, Newent Onion Fayre or Frampton County Fayre in the Severn Vale, or one of the fine architectural Regency wonders of Cheltenham, autumn leaves falling in the famous Promenade or fresh spring daffodils in the grounds of Gloucester Cathedral - then you've the chance of not only seeing your photograph in next years Explore Gloucestershire printed guide but also to many thousands of viewers to the website - oh, and did we mention the opportunity of winning £250 of vouchers to spend at Jessops!


There are no restrictions to your photographs of Gloucestershire but to help you decide here are some catagories:

Wildlife • Architecture • Landscapes • Towns & Villages


How to enter...

  1. Choose your photograph.
    Make sure the quality is more than 1 meg but less than 3 megs.
  2. Upload your images here:
    and clearly state the following.
    • Subject Ref: EXPLORE GLOUCESTERSHIRE PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION 2009
    • Your name
    • Age
    • E-mail address
    • Where you're from; town etc.
    • Photograph description; where and when taken etc.
    • Name of camera used

The Winner...

The winning photograph will be chosen by Oli Davis and Jane Baker of Cotswold Weddings - whose diverse portfolio includes celebrity weddings in Gloucestershire.

The closing date is the 20 January 2010 and the winner will be announced in February 2010.

It was a tough decision to find the winner for last years competition and we expect an even higher standard this year.
