Jazz Festival takeover at The Brewery Quarter

The Brewery Quarter is preparing for the return of the prestigious Cheltenham Jazz Festival and its fantastic Around Town events.
Returning to the Quarter for the third year on Sunday 6 May, the Around Town Jazz Festival Event provides a flavour of the main event but all for free, with six amazing acts taking to the stage throughout the course of the day.
Starting from 1pm with a performance from Pixie and the Gypsies, with live music and dancing until 7pm on the Bank Holiday Sunday.
- 1pm – 1.45pm - Gypsy Jazz band, Pixie and the Gypsies will be performing unique covers featuring vocals, violin, double bass and guitar.
- From 2.15 – 3pm Soular Funk will be performing for the third time here this year, with some of the very best funk, soul and disco classics from the 1970s to present day.
- Third on the bill is JazzJiveSwing who will be taking to the stage from 3.30pm – 4.15pm. They’ll be getting the whole venue up jiving and showing off their Lindy Hop thanks to their amazing mix of swinging Jazz music.
- At 4.45pm – 5.30pm Jackson takes to The Brewery Quarter stage to take Cheltonians on a musical journey filled with funk headed up by front man Jack Baldus. Expect to pick out influences from Steely Dan, Radiohead, Thundercat and Herbie Hancock.
- 6pm The night will be concluded by showman, Ben Cipolla whose intoxicating guitar skills and amazing vocals range will captivate the audience as they are taken in with his high-energy performance.
As well as the unmissable stage activity – The Brewery Quarter will also play host to a pop up bar near the stage. There will be an array of activity taking place in each of the different restaurants, bars and attractions to keep revellers fuelled to dance and have a great afternoon.
