Miss Independent - celebrating Mother's Day at Taurus Crafts

Taurus Crafts is taking a different approach to celebrating Mother's Day by celebrating a day dedicated to honouring women in our lives. They are hosting an event called Miss Independent on 27th March, the market that will showcase women-owned art & craft businesses in the local area.
It is a great opportunity to purchase original and locally made products, such as Chantal's Creations specializing in dog accessories and Angela’s skincare business Equal=brium. We also have some familiar faces like Vikki from Wooden Heart Designs mixed media and needle felted artworkjewel; and Nicole Iredale's garden and insect inspired jewellery.
The plan for this market started out very small but due to an overwhelming number of applicants online Taurus Crafts have had to revisit their plans. They are now expanding this market by using their marquee space to host many more female owned businesses.
“In addition to our events programme, we look forward to offering more dedicated markets like Miss Independent so we can continue to provide a platform for other creators.” - Alexander, Events and Marketing
Taurus Crafts is a part of the charity Camphill Village Trust which has always been dedicated to community. This market is a testament to that, as the charity works to create a positive social impact, and to build sustainable community assets and relationships to provide better opportunities for the people they support.
Attendance and parking are free for Miss Independent on Sunday 27th March from 11am to 4pm. If you are looking for a day out with a difference or somewhere to spend some quality time with your mother, this is the place to go.
