Katie O'Brien's Irish Tavern is coming to Cheltenham, bringing live music, big-screen sport and a lively Irish atmosphere to The Brewery Quarter later this year
The popular Irish hospitality brand will take over the former Son of Steak unit, adding a new drinking and entertainment venue to one of Gloucestershire's leading leisure destinations.
Known for its lively atmosphere, live music, premium drinks, big-screen sporting action and warm Irish welcome, Katie O'Brien's Irish Tavern has developed a loyal following across the UK and continues to expand into city-centre locations.
Live Music, Sport and Irish Hospitality
The new Cheltenham venue promises to bring plenty of energy to The Brewery Quarter, with Katie O'Brien's distinctive combination of live entertainment, sport and Irish hospitality.

A New Chapter for the Former Son of Steak
The opening will give the former Son of Steak unit a completely new identity following the end of Mitchells & Butlers' ten-year tenure at The Brewery Quarter.

Licensing applications are currently underway, with Katie O'Brien's Irish Tavern set to open at The Brewery Quarter later in 2026. Further details about the new Cheltenham venue are expected ahead of the opening.
