June is the start of the summer season and Gloucestershire has some hot events and festivals for you to enjoy!
Cheltenham hosts two festivals this month, starting with the highly acclaimed Science Festival. Running from 4-8 June, and featuring many celebrity appearances including Tony Robinson and his ‘Time Team’. This year ‘No topic is Taboo..!’ so get along and explore.
Later on in June, on the weekend of the 20-22, Dave Myers and Si King aka ‘The Hairy Bikers’ will be demonstrating their culinary skills, along with many other top chefs at the first Cheltenham Food & Drink Festival staged in Montpellier Gardens – a treat indeed for any gastro fan!
Sandwiched (pun intended) between these two great festivals, on Father’s Day, Sunday 15 June, with non-stop air and ground entertainment, is the 12th Kemble Air Day. Explore Gloucestershire went to last years show, and we can guarantee it’s great value for money - for ‘Dad’ and all the family to enjoy!
Howlers Comedy Club ends its sell-out season with two more evenings at the Town Hall and Wheatsheaf, with headline acts Ian Stone, Matt Welcome and the hilarious Rob Deering. If you haven’t been before then get along (with a group of friends) to either show, for a side-splitting, giggle-a-minute night out.
The Everyman also hosts some great stage entertainment including the ‘King and I’, ‘As Time Goes By’ and music with Abba & Bee Gees tribute bands in ‘SuperTroupers’, to name but a few.
