Blazing June- amazing summer- let’s hope so!
If the rumours in the Met Office are to be believed then this glorious sunshine is the start of what we’ve been waiting for. The whole of Gloucestershire is blooming and the county is alive with colour.

Thinking that this was going to be a relatively quiet month, after the busy end to May and with no school holidays, we were expecting quite a short newsletter. Oh, how wrong we were! As you can see the county is busy again this month with a selection of events that should keep everyone happy – and they’re still coming in, so by time this newsletter reaches you there will be even more events on the website. You know where to find it. (Your favourites may be a good place to keep it!)

Lots of food goodies are on offer at the 2009 Cheltenham Food & Drink Festival and this year’s expert chefs are the Master Chef 2009 winner Mat Follas and Martin Blunos, who is the proud holder of 2 Michelin stars. If you missed last years, this is just what you need to tantalise your taste buds.

Don’t forget your dad on Father’s Day on 21 June. This year the 2009 Kemble Air Show has been extended to run over 2 days following the success of previous years. Its’ easy to get to and parking facilities are very swift and well organised. The Red Arrows will be putting in an appearance on Saturday and the Euro fighter Typhoon will be displayed on both days. A great family day out, but one that the boys will particularly enjoy. There’s also the opportunity to take your dad to Gladiator School at Chedworth Roman Villa. OK, it may involve a bit of blood and gore, but the organisers promise that he will be back in one piece at the end of the day!
