Autumn half term holidays in Gloucestershire

Halloween in Gloucestershire

It’s well and truly autumn now and just when we thought they’d gone back to school they’re back for half term. Don’t despair. There’s lots to do and see in Gloucestershire this October. With numerous activities including fun and spooky Halloween events for the whole family to enjoy. From Ghost Trains and Spooky Spider Hunts in the Forest of Dean, Halloween Quizzes and Spooky Trails in the Cotswolds, Bat talks and Ghost Walks in Tewkesbury, Haunted Hayrides and Pick Your Own Pumpkins in Gloucester to Creepy Crawlies in Cheltenham - and that’s just a few of them. There’s even a few for the grown ups including Scary Suppers in Cirencester, Ghost Walks in Gloucester and a Halloween Disco at the austere Woodchester Mansion.

Also watch out for the five Tall ships that will be sailing into Gloucester Docks on 26-29 October for the Tall Ships Festival - an amazing sight not to be missed.

Get the family out and about. It’s a fantastic time of the year for a walk taking in the amazing autumn colours and collecting berries and conkers along the way. The Forest of Dean is a magical place at this time of year, as are the various arboretums and gardens in the Cotswolds. So get wrapped up and go and explore…
