BEYOND THE BEATEN PATH
(SEMI-DEEP CAVING)

Follow your curiosity further and take an adventure behind the barriers, off the well-trodden track. Perfect for younger groups or those that want the adventure to continue, but aren’t ready for anything too challenging; the semi-deep caving experience crawls and clambers into areas visitors wouldn’t normally venture. Gear up with helmets and lamps and get a little dirty; starting on the public tour then going off route with our experienced and knowledgeable guides to discover areas last seen by the children and adults of our mining past.

A perfect experience for all ages, activity trips, birthdays, memorable occasions, or just for those with a curious nature.

Allow 2 hours.
Small groups are led by experienced and knowledgeable guides. The 2hrs includes time for kitting up etc.

DARE TO GO DEEPER!
(DEEP LEVEL CAVING)

Under the forest, is a labyrinth of 250 acres of passageways and caverns to explore and countless more acres still to be discovered. Walk, crawl and descend 200ft (18om) underground through natural and mined features. Get geared up and our experienced guide will take you on adventures for a variety of skills, thrills and occasions.

Clearwell Caves will supply helmets, lamps, overalls, wellies and any safety equipment required and of course your mine leader, who after discussion with your group will choose a route to suit their ability and interests.

Allow 3 hours.
Small groups are led by experienced and knowledgeable guides. The 3hrs includes time for kitting up etc.

All groups of young persons (over 7 years and under 18 years) must include a responsible adult.
