- It has been agreed for the Welsh Regions to enter the Singha Premiership Rugby 7s Series for the second year with an announcement on a Welsh date and venue to follow.
Gloucester will be looking to make it three wins in a row in the tournament having triumphed in the Final at the Rec in 2013 and at The Stoop in 2014 and, as a result, going on to participate in the World Club 7s at Twickenham.
Kingsholm has kicked off the tournament in style for the past three years, with bumper crowd enjoying the shortened form of the game and passionately cheering on the Cherry and Whites.
Tickets will be priced at £10 for adults, £5 concessions and £1 for children. The event will form part of the Club Member package.
"The 7s Series kicked off in 2010 and since then it has become a significant date in the rugby calendar," said the Rugby Director at Premiership Rugby, Phil Winstanley.
"We started last season's event with more than 13,000 people at Kingsholm and we expect the demand to be high again this year.
"Twelve months before rugby returns to the Olympics - in Rio - it is crucial that Premiership Rugby continues to lead the way when it comes to club 7s. This will be an important competition and will start a run-in to the Olympic Games when rugby will be firmly in the world spotlight."
Last season the Welsh Regions made their debut in the competition which was won by Gloucester Rugby, coached by Olly Morgan.
