Cheltenham Ice Rink to return for Christmas 2024
The Ice Rink in Cheltenham is returning this Christmas!
A popular Christmas Ice Rink will return to Cheltenham for the 2024 festive season, Cheltenham Borough Council has announced today. The ice rink will be located in Imperial Gardens, from Friday 29 November 2024 to Sunday 5 January 2025.
The all-weather ice rink will be open daily (excluding 25th December) offering locals and visitors of all ages the chance to take part. The fun, inclusive and fully wheelchair-accessible ice rink can be enjoyed by all, plus there will also be relaxed skating sessions for SEND visitors and discounts for school, corporate, and group bookings.
Organised by the Visit Cheltenham team at Cheltenham Borough Council, the 2023 Christmas ice rink was enjoyed by over 30,000 people, attracting thousands of visitors to the town. Special sessions for students, families, and school groups were offered and organisers have promised that these will be repeated this year, along with some exciting new activities and events.
Helen Mole, head of place marketing and inward investment at Cheltenham Borough Council, said: “Last year’s ice rink was fantastic. The team loved seeing so many happy people enjoying our attraction and going on into town to support our local businesses. We are delighted that we can bring the event back to Cheltenham and we’re looking forward to making this year’s event even better.”
