The Barn Theatre Announces Cast for A Christmas Carol 2025

Cast and Creative Team Announced for The Barn Theatre’s 2025 Christmas Show

CEO and Artistic Director Iwan Lewis, Executive Director Liam McMullan, and the whole team at The Barn Theatre in Cirencester are delighted to announce the cast and creative team for their 2025 Christmas production, Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. The show runs from Monday 1 December 2025 to Sunday 4 January 2026, with a national press night on Wednesday 3 December 2025.

This magical new adaptation, written by Alan Pollock and directed by Jessica Daniels, features an exceptional cast including Jack Lord (The Book Thief, War Horse) as ‘Scrooge’, Paul Kemble (Top Hat, To The Streets) as ‘Narrator 4’, ‘Fezziwig’ and ‘Bob Cratchit’, Sam Lightfoot-Loftus (Twelfth Night, Wishmas) as ‘Narrator 5’, ‘Fred’ and ‘Young Scrooge’, Louise Faulkner (Eastenders, Lady Windermere’s Fan) as ‘Narrator 1’, ‘Mrs Cratchit’ and ‘Mrs Fezziwig’, Rachael Kendall Brown (Get Down Tonight, Where Eagles Fly) as ‘Narrator 3’ and ‘Belle’, and Claire Lee Shenfield (Little Women, A Christmas Carol) as ‘Narrator 2’ and ‘Fan’.

The creative team includes set and costume design by Anna Kelsey, lighting design by Jodie Underwood, sound design, composition and musical direction by Anna Pool, movement direction by Phoebe Hyder, and casting direction by Anthony Houghton.

With an enchanting original score and imaginative staging, A Christmas Carol promises to capture the true spirit of the season. Audiences will be transported by the story of Ebenezer Scrooge’s journey from miser to man of goodwill, inspired by the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future.
