Christmas in Tewkesbury this year will be full of festive atmosphere with so many events and things to see and do for all the family.
Starting on Sunday 25 November with Santa Clause coming along to switch on the Christmas lights, Tewkesbury then becomes a town bulging with events such as ice skating in the Abbey Lawn car park and more traditional festivities including Candle Illuminations and Christmas Carols sung by the Hartley Voices, whilst you do your Xmas shopping in a market town where the shop windows have been especially decorated for Christmas.
On Saturday 8 December, Tewkesbury's newest tourist attraction, 'Out of the Hat' opens its doors to the public and with a brand new Tourist Information Centre on the ground floor of the former hat shop will be a real boost to the market town. On Sunday 9 December the first event at 'Out of the Hat' will be a chance to make your very own traditional Christmas decorations using 17th century materials with the help of artist Rosemary Sault.
We must of course mention this years Panto at the Roses Theatre - Aladdin.
We've mentioned only a handful of events here but for more information you can download the official Tewkesbury Christmas Celebrations 2007 leaflet or visit our special 'CHRISTMAS IN GLOUCESTERSHIRE 2007' section of the website.
