Gloucester Cathedral Prepares to Welcome Visitors from Monday 6 July
Gloucester Cathedral is set to re-open its doors to general visitors on Monday 6 July. People will be able to access the building between 10.00am and 5.00pm, Monday to Saturday and 11.00am and 5.00pm on Sundays.
Daily public worship will also re-commence at the Cathedral from Sunday 5 July. The Cathedral Eucharist will take place every Sunday at 10.15am and on each weekday Monday to Saturday, there will also be a short service of Holy Communion at 12.30pm. Everyone is welcome to attend.
To keep everyone safe, new protective measures have been introduced, including limiting capacity to allow for physical distancing, establishing a one-way system throughout the building and providing hand sanitizing stations.
The Monk’s Kitchen Café re-opens on Saturday 4 July with a delicious selection of cakes, cream teas, sandwiches, drinks and much more to take away. At this stage, the Gift Shop will remain closed.
