Latest News from WWT Slimbridge

WWT Slimbridge are open and looking forward to welcoming you back but please note that everyone needs to book their visit in advance.
The following have been put in place to keep everyone safe.
- Online booking in advance - If you have to queue to get in, you’ll be asked to keep two metres apart from the people in front. There will be screens up at the admission desk.
- Limited access to indoor areas including aviaries and the flamingo houses.
- Play areas are closed for the moment, and no activities such as pond-dipping, walks and talks.
- Some paths are now one-way and some areas where people might naturally gather are closed. Gates are kept open where possible.
- Toilets are available but some are closed as they are very small. Please ask a member of staff for directions to the nearest facilities.
- Increased cleaning regime, particularly the toilets. Hand sanitiser available around the site.
- No bird feed on sale, but rest assured, they are still being fed, so please don’t bring bread or any of your own food for them.
- Unfortunately WWT can’t offer mobility scooters or wheelchairs for hire. You’re welcome to bring your own mobility scooter or wheelchair as usual.
- Shops and cafes are closed for now, but takeaway sandwiches, crisps, cakes, ice-cream, hot and cold beverages are availavle at the Welly Boot Land Kiosk (open from 9.30am - 2.30pm).
So take your time, look, watch and listen, and enjoy being surrounded by nature. Please visit the website via the link below for further updates.
