A blank canvas at The Brewery in Cheltenham
Local schools are being invited to take part in a Community Art Competition run by The Brewery complex in Cheltenham.
One of the units in the mall has been turned into a 3m x 9m ‘blank canvas’ to display artwork submitted by pupils aged 7 – 18 years in four different age groups. The theme is ‘good times at The Brewery’. A movie at Cineworld, a meal at one of the restaurants - Après, Burger Burger, Chiquito, Frankie and Benny’s, Mango, Nandos, Prezzo or Real China - home styling from Habitat or Dwell, computer skills at Gloucestershire College Do IT Centre or working out at Fitness First.
Alternatively they can visualise the buzz words that represent the complex including Healthy, Happy, Relaxed, Excited, Welcoming, Thrilling, Tasty, Comfortable, Stylish, Fun, Films, Furnishing, Food or Fitness.
Pupils wishing to participate should send in their work to Demelsa Coleman at The Brewery before 7th June 2009. Selected artwork will be on display throughout July 2009, with the overall winner from each age category winning £50 in art vouchers.
