New art gallery opening at Gloucestershire Arts & Crafts, Brockworth Court Farm

Gloucestershire Arts & Crafts at Brockworth Court Farm are delighted to announce the opening of their new art gallery which is currently showing two exciting exhibitions as part of the Gloucester 'Joined up Art' Festival.

The Brockworth Court Farm Centre also now provides workshops and studio space for local artists in addition to organising a range of Art and Craft courses including Felt making ,willow structures,wood turning and bookbinding this summer.

For the next fortnight art work by Claire Bergin is featured, as part of the 'Joined up Art ' Festival in Gloucester showing local views of Chosen Hill and surrounding area.

Also for the Festival an amazing willow sculpture creation named 'the spirit of the river' by the well known resident sculptress and basket maker Helen Lomberg is featured.

Within the gallery an exhibition of art and photography by Sandie Prowse featuring local scenes and digital art. Also Gwynn-Jones who has just had a photograph accepted by the royal Photographic Society's international print exhibition. Nicki offers a tantalizing glimpse into the alluring world of birds. Together with resident artist Sallie Taylor whose etchings are inspirational.

Within the crafts shop there is work by several sought after potters incl. Winchcombe Pottery, Bridget Williams, Anne Sohn-Rethel and Jane Vernon. Also botanical artists, soft furnishings, textiles, glass work and jewellery. Many of the exhibitors previously sold items at the Made In Gloucestershire shop in Gloucester which recently closed.

The magnificent C14th Tithe Barn which was sadly destroyed by fire some 10 years ago has been painstakingly restored using traditional materials and methods and is itself a work of Art.

Plans for the addition of 'The Old Dairy Teas Rooms' are well under way.
