WIN a fabulous experience feeding the penguins at Birdland, plus numerous family tickets to visitor attractions.

Ok lets face it, July 2007 was a complete washout and Gloucestershire did suffer more than most with the disastrous floods. But, hey we’ve come bouncing back with lots of events and activities planned and lots of party spirit to go with it.

This weekend (5th & 6th July) promises to be a great rural treat with the 2008 Cotswold Show bringing some of the best country crafts and produce, mixed up with a spot of horse whispering and some superb displays in the main arena, including the mighty Big Pete car-crushing, motorcycle madness and lots of other family favourites.

The following weekend (12th & 13th) the skies come alive with the roaring spectacle that is the Royal International Air Tattoo at Fairford, with the superb Red Arrows returning to Gloucestershire as one of the many highlights of the show.

On the quieter side, the Cheltenham Music Festival returns for its 64th year with sixteen days of great musical entertainment at venues all over the town and at Tewkesbury Abbey.

Still on a musical note the Gloucester Rhythm & Blues Festival is ready to entertain, with a lively programme of performances, and combined with the annual Gloucester Festival, the county’s capital is the place to be later on in July.

To mark the anniversary of the floods of 2007, Tewkesbury Abbey are hosting ‘Over the Rainbow 2008’, with various events at the Abbey, and with the Medieval Festival, Tewkesbury will be well and truly back in business.

July also sees the start of the school summer holidays and yet again we've found lots to do throughout Gloucestershire for children and families.

Lets just keep our fingers crossed for lots of sun and please,… no rain!!!
