The Cotswold Show on the 4 & 5 of July returns with another breathtaking motorcycle stunt display with the Flying Gunners. From mouth-watering culinary delights to horse and plough, hi-tech harvesters and Victorian fairground rides, there really is something for everyone to see and do. And don’t forget dogs are very welcome and can join in the fun too.
Earlier in the month than previous years, Cheltenham College again hosts the best cricket festival in England, with Derbyshire, Worcestershire, Essex, Northamptonshire and Durham all competing against Gloucestershire County Cricket Club in either the Pro 40 or Liverpool Victoria County Championship.
The highlight of all military air shows hits Fairford on the 18 & 19 July, with the much loved Royal International Air Tattoo returning with an amazing display of in-the-air and on-the-ground entertainment. If you haven’t been it’s an amazing and overwhelming day out for young and old – take your ear defenders though!
The school holidays are upon us yet again so you have to look no further than our school holiday pages for something to entertain the kids this summer.
July’s competition is based around the fantastic collection of visitor attractions that Gloucestershire has on offer and there’s a chance to win family tickets to these, including a special day out with Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends on August 21-23 at Dean Forest Railway If that’s not your cup of tea then you may be able to win a ‘Feed a Penguin’ experience courtesy of Birdland Park & Gardens.
