Christmas Sleigh Dogs at Primrose Vale
Primrose Vale will be welcoming some new helpers to haul your newly acquired Christmas tree to your car over the next two weekends of 6,7, 13 & 14 December for a small charitable donation.
Newfound Friends was formed 25 years ago in 1989, with the objective of using the skills of the Newfoundland Dog to raise money for children’s charities. To date they have raised over a million pounds. The dogs also carry out therapeutic work with seriously ill children who attend hospices and home from home cancer care establishments.
Primrose Vale have partnered up again with Cotswold Fir Forestry, to bring you a full range of Christmas trees - from 1" pot grown trees, to 7" non needle drop cut Nordmans and everything in between. You can also take part in the "rent a tree" programme. Instead of buying a cut tree, you can rent a pot grown one, water it whilst you have it, and return it in good condition. You can even reserve the same tree for next year. Pop in to the farm shop - or you can even reserve one online on the Cotswold fir website
Christmas order forms are now ready and ideally, all orders should be in by Thursday the 4 December, though turkey orders may be placed until Monday the 8th. Should you miss this deadline don’t panic, as they can still get most items – it just gets harder to guarantee supply! Veg boxes can be ordered right up to Sunday the 21st.
