Lechlade Craft Barn is Ready to Go

Lechlade Craft Barn in the Cotswolds

Local crafters will have a spring in their step as Lechlade Craft Barn announces craft workshops are to return to Lechlade Memorial Hall from mid-April.

A number of new arts and crafts workshops are on offer, alongside regular favourites.  Acrylic Painting, Japanese Sashiko Embroidery and Fabric Bead Making are just a few of the new topics covered in the one day and half day workshops.  Popular subjects such as Mosaic Making and Lampshade Making are already booking up quickly.

Co-owners Jennie Turner-Maskell and Karen Holland adapted their offering last year by relocating workshops to the modern hall complex in Lechlade, offering socially distanced workshops between lockdowns.

“We will be continuing to operate from Lechlade Memorial Hall for the foreseeable future”, said Jennie, “the hall provides a spacious environment with easy access and parking, our customers love it.”

Lechlade Craft Barn achieved Visit England’s ‘Good To Go’ status last year, confirming delivery of workshops adhered to public health guidelines and have been praised by the national organisation for exceeding standards to deliver workshops as safely as possible.

“We can’t wait to get back to crafting and chatting at workshops”, said Karen, “we always have such fun and we know our customers are looking forward to a little safe socialising!  It’s a great way to spend time with family and friends, whilst being creative at the same time.”

With crafting having seen a boost during lockdown, as many explored new hobbies at home, Lechlade Craft Barn’s workshops are certain to prove popular.
