The Gruffalo and The Snowman in Concert at Cheltenham Town Hall this Christmas

The Gruffalo and The Snowman in Concert at Cheltenham Town Hall

The Gruffalo and The Snowman in Concert with the Mozart Symphony Orchestra

Date: 23rd December
Time: 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Venue: Cheltenham Town Hall

Cheltenham Town Hall is set to host a beloved Christmas tradition once again as the Mozart Symphony Orchestra returns on 23rd December with their renowned Christmas show, direct from London for one day only. Now a regular highlight of the festive season in Cheltenham, this event promises to be a magical experience for all ages.

Audiences can look forward to the timeless classic, The Snowman, where the film will be shown on the big screen accompanied by a live symphony orchestra performing the iconic soundtrack. Adding to the enchantment, 15-year-old Alice Mackenzie will sing the beautiful aria, Walking in the Air, made famous by Aled Jones.

Following the tremendous success of The Gruffalo at Cheltenham Town Hall last Christmas, the orchestra is pleased to present it again, along with its charming sequel, The Gruffalo’s Child. Composed by Philip Mackenzie for orchestra and narrator, these performances feature each character represented by a different instrument in the orchestra, much like Peter and the Wolf. The audience will be intrigued to discover which instrument represents the Gruffalo this year.

This concert offers a refreshing alternative to panto and is the perfect Christmas treat for the whole family.

Don't miss out as this event always sells out - BOOK YOUR TICKETS earlier than later to avoid disappointment!
