The Kodama Sculptures Return to Puzzlewood This Autumn!

This autumn, Puzzlewood is thrilled to announce the return of the incredible Kodama sculpture installation
Following its immense popularity earlier in the year, these enchanting Japanese-inspired tree spirits, created by renowned artist Ed Elliott, will once again be hidden throughout the woodland, offering visitors a unique and magical experience.
From 5th September to 5th October, over 100 Kodama sculptures will be waiting to be discovered among the ancient trees and winding paths of Puzzlewood.
These captivating figures, inspired by Japanese folklore, embody the spirits that are believed to inhabit the trees, perfectly complementing Puzzlewood’s otherworldly landscape, one of the world’s rare temperate rainforests.

An spititual and inspirational installation of the Kodama Sculptures at Puzzlewood
Ed Elliott’s masterful artistry brings a mystical presence to the woodland, with each Kodama carefully placed to blend seamlessly into the natural surroundings. Visitors will feel as though they’ve stepped into a world where wood spirits truly exist, with each turn in the path revealing a new hidden sprite nestled in the moss or entwined in the tree roots.
Puzzlewood has long been a source of wonder and inspiration for storytellers and filmmakers, and this unique installation further enhances its magical atmosphere. The Kodama sculptures will be included with normal entry tickets, making it an unmissable opportunity for both returning and new visitors to experience the woodland in a whole new way.
