Record breaking ticket sales for Cheltenham Literature Festival
The Times Cheltenham Literature Festival reports record-breaking ticket sales....
...over 39,000 tickets sold in just two weeks!
Cheltenham Festivals are delighted to announce incredible early ticket sales for The Times Cheltenham Literature Festival 2008 - the programme has been on sale for only two weeks and has already sold over 39,000 tickets - more than double the tickets sold for the same period in 2007. This is an excellent start to the 2008 Festival which looks well on the way to beating last year's (record-breaking) ticket sales of 87,000 tickets in total. With a host of award winning authors and star speakers The Times Cheltenham Literature Festival offers a sensational line-up in 2008. Several high profile events have already sold out, whilst many more look set to sell out shortly. Sell outs include: Dawn French, Start the Week, Robert Peston and Terry Jones; whilst Julie Walters and Russell T. Davies with John Barrowman are two of our biggest selling events so far with over 1,200 tickets sold for each.
